I have made only a few updates to this website lately. Covid-19 upended all of our lives, and I don’t usually post about new papers unless there is something special. This is one of those cases for me: my first outreach article in Italian!

Paolo Pani invited me to write a short article for Asimmetrie (here the pdf). Asimmetrie is a magazine by the Italian National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN). Each volume collects articles revolving around a single theme, which in this case is “Origini” (origins). My little article (pdf) is about the origin of black holes. “Profondo nero” is a pun for horror movie lovers. If you don’t get it, you should watch this movie by the Italian horror master Dario Argento. It also has a memorable progressive-rock soundtrack.
