Rai Weiss, Barry Barish and Kip Thorne won the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics "for decisive contributions to the LIGO detector and the observation of gravitational waves".

The 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics for the LIGO pioneers was a fantastic achievement, but now it’s time to put a gravitational-wave detector in space!
